Jane Waxenfelter | Grove City, PA

In 1976 I was an art major in college and left school to be married and eventually raise a family of four children. I painted as a hobby but never had the time or resources to pursue a career. As a recent empty nester, eight years ago I started to explore my true passion from long ago, hand thrown pottery. I purchased a used wheel and kiln and have been working diligently to mold my talent and creativity. Pottery is a form of expression and a source of solace for me. Through my artwork, I want to create pieces that are both beautiful and purposeful and will bring the same enjoyment to others that they bring to me. It has been a joy and privilege to be able to participate in many shows since I have renewed my love of making pottery.
