September 20th  is National Park(ing) Day. Park(ing) Day is a one-day national event which enables local businesses to utilize and transform a parking space outside their business into something extraordinary. From breakfast in bed, to free photo booths and picnic areas. PARK(ing) Day participants have claimed the metered parking space as a rich new territory for creative experimentation and activism.  The DDA has been generous enough to bag the meters and provide the parking space for free today!  The South University Area Association, in collaboration with Espresso Royale Café, Eat The Hub, YCI clothing and Middle Earth, are more than delighted to see how local residents will respond to their creative reclamation and transformation of a parking space into a usable space. Stop by the South University Area today from 8am until 8pm to see all of the wonderful transformations of parking spaces into usable space!
