Kirill Novikov – Gahanna, OH


Using impasto oils I add and remove colors to create an abstracted image of a landscape, seascape, and wildlife.  Moving paint with a trowel allows blending wet into wet paint giving a sense of motion.  The finished painting has a three dimensional a quality due to a buildup of paint.
