Pen and Ink drawing allows for great detail to be expressed throughout a piece. After laying down a light pencil sketch on illustration board, I start applying the ink using a technical pen, often called a Rapidograph. Very fine lines and dots make up the drawing. It is how the lines and dots are applied that make up the drawing “style” of the artist. When the base art is complete, the piece is scanned digitally into the computer for further detailed drawing and color application. When the piece is complete (typically 50 hours), the art is printed with archival inks on acid free art paper. All prints are limited editions.
