Henry Bergeson – Conifer, CO

My kaleidoscopes are an amalgam of my experiences, expertise and limitations, combined with an urge on my part to pull shapes out of the edges of my mind and give them physical form.  Each kaleidoscope stands as a piece of sculpture in its own right, with exteriors made of highly polished hardwoods intermingled with machined and polished brass elements. The hand crafted glass object cases are filled with items ranging from cut glass to jewelry findings and interesting bits of unknown origin; all bathed in glycerin.  The nature of kaleidoscopes is to take a seeming jumble of mismatched items which are colliding, shifting and vying for some desired place in space and time, and convert them into beautiful, dynamic order. Upon viewing, you have a delightful feast for the eye.  It is my aim to provide a vehicle for this purpose.
