A stick, a stone, a leaf, a song… the natural world is my inspiration. Shape, color and texture are central considerations and at the heart of my work.
I combine the traditional Japanese process  of arashi shibori with handpainting, felting, printing and various surface resist and construction techniques to create richly layered, colored and textured wearables.
The materials used are natural fibers such as silk, wool, organic cotton and hemp.
