Adam & Sarah Spector - Canandaigua, NY

spectorOur hand carved original designs are grounded in decorative traditions such as Art Deco and the Arts and Crafts periods. A sense of geometry and symmetry is a common thread running through the work. Our original glaze palette combines muted tones with breaking matt surfaces that emphasize the reliefs that they adorn. We make each piece using a historical tile-making process that we’ve adapted into a wonderfully broad reaching pottery-making technique that involves hand-carving and embossing. Using this process we create pottery that is at once contemporary, ageless, practical and affordable.  We collaborate on every aspect of our work from design to completion.
