Stephen Kinnard moved way too much as a kid. As a result, he saw a lot of the U.S. and started snapping photos during a move from Oklahoma to California when he was twelve.
After spending his high school years in Ann Arbor, he traveled extensively as a young man and student of photography. The journeys resulted in a collection of stunning and often playful images.
Now he returns to Ann Arbor to make it his home and the subject of his most recent work. He illuminates familiar details of the Huron River, buildings, and wildlife and brings them to life in images.
